Dan Garmon is a highly sought after pianist, performer and music director known for his impressive stylistic range and technical versatility. Proficient in virtually every single musical style, Dan has years of experience performing as a solo classical pianist, chamber musician and as part of jazz combos and big bands, rock bands, Indian classical music, tabla ensembles, John Zorn Cobra groups and other improvisations, extended-technique contemporary classical, and anything and everything in between. He has had the great honor of working with a host of leading voices in the musical theatre world, including Mary-Mitchell Campbell, Brian Lowdermilk & Kait Kerrigan, David O, and many others.
Dan completed a Bachelor of Music, double majoring in piano performance & jazz drumset performance at McGill University's Schulich School of Music in 2012, graduating with distinction in piano. During his studies he was the drummer for the internationally renowned McGill Jazz One, the school's premiere jazz ensemble. With a keen sense of artistic style and impeccable ear, Dan is quickly becoming a leading music director and go-to pianist and performer for live performances and recording sessions in New York City and beyond.
